By adhering to these guidelines, we can maintain a respectful and efficient training environment that benefits everyone. Let’s work hard, stay disciplined, and make the most of every session!
Expectations for Swimmers During Training Sessions
Arrive in good time, ideally 15–20 minutes before the session begins, to allow for stretching and warm-up.
Bring all necessary equipment, including fins, paddles, kickboards, swim caps, goggles, and a water bottle.
Use the restroom before training starts and always inform the coach if you need to leave the pool during a session.
Listen attentively to your coach and follow their instructions carefully.
Always swim to the wall as you would in a race, and practice turns as directed.
Avoid stopping or standing in the lane, as this can cause injuries to yourself and others.
Refrain from pulling on the lane ropes, as this can disrupt the flow of training and impact fellow swimmers.
Complete all assigned lengths and sets—skipping them only hinders your own progress.
Stay focused and mindful of your technique throughout the session.
